Took the car to Volvo Paul Rigby who diagnosed problem with seat module (part number 30790972) and asked for a ridiculous price to replace it. Ordered the part through independant (WF Pye & Son in Stirchley, Birmingham) at a third of the price quoted by Volvo, who (Nick) kindly swapped the part for no charge to only find it made no difference whatsoever. To be fair, Nick said from the start that he could feel heat in the base of the seat and he reckoned it may be the element and not the module. Issue is what options do I have now? Do I go back to Volvo and complain that they mis-diagnosed the fault? Work with Nick at WF Pye to strip the seat to confirm which will be 2 to 3 hours labour to confirm? Or any other options you can suggest? The car is XC90 2005 2.5T SE 55 Plate. Thanks for your help in advance.
