That must have caused a bit of a smoke screen! When its fixed check the return oil pipe to the sump. Mine failed because it got blocked with sooty crap somehow. I reckon the pressure build up wrecked the seals. Don't understand why it clogged as its always had its oil changed at the correct intervals and always decent oil. Perhaps it was just a build up over time due to age.

could have been a lot worse if any bits had got into the valves, lucky if its only a turbo/flux capicator required.

well i had a phone call of my friend who said he was driving along and heard a grinding noise so he pulled over. so i went to investigate i turned her over and with in 5 seconds the whole street was filled with smoke couldn't even see the car lol. long story short i now own the car n shes having a heart transplant from 2.0 to 2.3
