Default Sensus Map Update 1376

New maps loaded today to upgrade from 1372 to 1376.
And it has sorted the missing speed cameras on the M25.
I did write to Volvo Customer Service a couple of months back and they said they would pass on my comments. I suppose it may have worked.

Yes, mine updated to 1376 OTA yesterday and I noticed today that the new multi-million pound junction 19 on the M6 at Knutsford which opened recently is covered now.

These updates do seem to come along very regularly nowadays and its good that they are FOC!

The website says the next update is planned for 25 April.

Having the free maps updates is great, before I got my S90 I was looking at a number of models and couldn't believe how much some manufacturers charge for updated maps.

Hi chaps, having a bit of bother it update. I’ve downloaded 1376 update, it’s put onto a usb stick. I then used the software on computer to check the usb stick and it says it’s not the most current update and won’t check it.

I’ve then put the usb stick in to car and nothing whilst Ingnition on. Tried USB ports 1 and 2, one has a white circle round it.

What have I done wrong?

Delete all the data on the usb stick first.
What GB size is your usb?
You need 64GB stick. Once downloaded, do not check on computer. Put straight into usb port in car (not the white one)
Would recommend the full Europe one which is 52GB.

Default Map Update V60

I downloaded the UK/iceland update onto usb stick using a MacBook. Put into USB port, car does not do anything. What am I doing wrong? It is FAT32.

A couple of queries:

1. What's the capacity of the USB stick? It needs to be at least 32GB.

2. Was the USB stick empty of all other data prior to downloading the map update? The stick needs to be empty - I always use the 'Erase' option from the Mac Disk Utility prior to downloading an update.

3. Did you use the Sensus Update app to download the update directly to the USB stick? This isn't absolutely essential but it's the easiest way to do it.

The first time I did it, I downloaded to my desktop machine (PC, not Mac) and then copied across the new folder from the 'download' folder. This didn't work, because it copied across the folder itself, and the executable upgrade file is inside the folder so it wasn't seen by the system. So I deleted that one, and copied all the contents from the folder across instead of the folder itself. This worked straight away.

Before you go reformatting the drive or re-downloading the update, first check that the USB memory is fully pushed in to the USB socket in the car. I drove around for a week waiting for it to start only to realise that there should be a click when the USB memory is fully inserted (I hadn't pushed it in far enough!). This was with a SanDisk stick, it was in the socket but I hadn't pushed it past the "click" mechanism of the car's USB socket. Once I did that, the car starting installing the update almost immediately, certainly within a few seconds after the ignition was on.
