Disappointed with Momentum leather seats
I’ve had my car from new for about 15 months and have just gone through 10,000 miles. (I use the car twice a day for a journey to and from work of about 25 miles each way, each lasting 45 minutes).
The centre of the seat base is now showing quite a bit of wrinkling where my butt goes and whilst I can reduce it significantly with a warm hairdryer, it still returns to its wrinkled state once it’s been used again. My previous V60 was the previous generation and I did a lot more driving in that and the leather seats never showed any such signs of wear. It’s not that I’m that heavy (I weigh less than 12 stone). It doesn’t help that this is the only seat used in the car 99% of the time. I have no doubt that the wrinkling will not be covered by the warranty but it does irritate me. Is the best bet to see if the dealer can replace, recover or refill the seat base or would it be better to go to a vehicle upholstery specialist? If the latter, can anyone recommend someone in the Warrington area or failing that the North West? I’m sure I should probably learn to live with it but it does seem excessive for the amount of use it has had. Many thanks |
