Default Coilover issue

Hi all.
I bought Gaz Gold coilovers specifically for my '98 2.0T CD V40. As I was away to fit the ones on the front I found out the strut top mounts & bearing does not fit the coilover.

The front coilovers have a 17mm diameter and the original strut-top bearing has a 15mm diameter wiith a depth of 13mm. I wouldn't need any spacers or anything would I?

Are there differences between my phase 1 and the T4's or phase 2's ??

Would the phase 2 or T4 strut top mounts and bearings fit both the coilover & to the chasis?

Also, are the rear coilovers a direct fit?

I'm not sure if it will solve your issue but I know the phase 2 top mounts are completely different to the phase 1. The top mounts are interchangeable though, so you will able to fit phase 2 mounts to your phase 1. The FK coil overs I have need phase 2 top mounts if fitting on the P1.

Found the thread and the picture isn't there anymore bit am pretty sure it had phase 2 top mounts

My only other thought is that they use the same setup as my kw's in that they use phase 2 automatic top mounts and bearings which are different to the manual bearings

If you could post a pic of the top of the gaz spring seats i might be able to tell

S

The rears are the same up to my04
