Default Coolant red or blue ?

Which coolant do the XC90's use ? ..... I have red/pink in mine but spoke to a halfords chap and he said it should be blue (silicate) and mentioned the volvo dealer across the road advised a client it should be the blue too. Did the online check and at first came back with the red/pink and now its showing blue ?

If its blue is it worth changing it out ?

If it helps mine is more green, I bought 4 litres of genuine Volvo concentrate off eBay, you just pour all of them in then top up with water hope it helps.

Same here in my '09 XC60 D5 ... greenish blue Volvo recommended / approved also know as "Glysantin G64" which is ethylene glycol based containing an inhibitor packages based on salt of organic acids, phosphates and silicate. Free from nitrites, amines and borates with a service life of unto 5 years.
