Default CD playing - track times?

Hi Folks,

Should be an easy one... is it possible to set the stereo (possibly from the secret menu) to turn on the CD track times?
I know when you fastforward or rewind it comes up breifly for a few secs, so guessing it may be an option.

I know you can access a secret menu through the stereo - i did it yonks ago for changing the speed increase/volume setting, but no idea if this is an option.

Cheers!

This is something I was wondering just yesterday....

So I'll give it a bump. Anyone know how??

Seems a waste to have the space on the right of the track number not put to good use!

This was asked many moons ago on one of the other forums. The conclusion was this was not available on the HU-803s (don't know about the others).

There are actually two "secret" menus.
There's the one the handbook tells you about which allows you to adjust the volume/speed control as you have found.
There is also a hidden menu used by the factory for tweaking a few technical bits such as the equalizer settings for different cars (ie. S60, V70 & S80 in HU-801 guise). It's not a particular user friendly interface and not much scope for gaining anything out of it other than knowing it's there!

To access the menu I think you turn it off then hold in the power button for 5 seconds.

If you hold in next or previous track select on the head unit to fast forward or reverse you will get a track time display up. It stays on for a few seconds after fast forwarding. Even works with my ipod interface which is handy when listening to podcasts.
