Pilot assist struggling after replacement windscreen
I love Pilot Assist. I use it all the time, especially on motorways, and personally find it fantastic. I've used it in all weathers, in all lighting, in pretty much every driving condition there is and I've been really impressed by how well it works for me and am very familiar with it.
Yesterday I had the windscreen replaced by Autoglass and these days as part of the service they also recalibrate the cameras and safety systems after doing the glass. Driving it today on familiar roads (little bit of motorway, some dual carriageway A-roads, some smaller roads) and using Pilot Assist where I normally would I can see it's not behaving the way I'm used to and the way I'd expect. It picked up the lane markings a couple of times but only ever held them for 5 seconds or so then lost them again, and the markings are decent plus these are roads I've driven plenty of times before and know it handles them fine. Now obviously I need to call Autoglass, explain the situation and give them a chance to put it right but here's how I'm anticipating it'll go (feel free to label me a pessimist)...
Obviously if I take it to a dealer they're going to charge me and I doubt Autoglass will offer to pay for that so while it's an option it's going to have to be a last resort I guess, as I'll end up shelling out for it. So before I go into the customer service loop outlined above, does anyone have any advice or tips or whatnot?

Exactly why I insisted on having the windshield replaced by the dealer..
I assume this was done under insurance? I'd call them and ask for the calibration to be re-done at an authorized volvo dealer..

You might want to point out to auto glass that they publically disagreed with Volvo about replacing windscreens (Volvo don’t recommend auto glass replacements) see the spat here:

I replaced my windscreen at the dealer and it had a similar behaviour at start. Yet after driving it for a while and engaging the system in different situations it appeared to behave better.
My assumption is that when the recalibrate the system it gets a blanc new set of data and while you drive it on the streets it collects more data to adjust in different situations. Don't know if my logic stands, but the more I use the PA the better it gets, or at least that's how I feel it

I didn't bother and the systems work just as they had before. Obviously things have changed in the intervening period - Autoglass doing recallibrations and Volvo dealers maybe doing their own windscreen replacement.

Not enteirely on topic, but I called autoglass to fix a chip in my windscreen and their advert says no need to contact your insurance company, so I didn't.
A few weeks later I got the bill redirected from my insurance company for the repair. Apparantly my insurance company have to approve it first, so watch out. It took a lot of phone calls to fix the issue and get them to cough up.

All volvo dealers have to have a technician trained in fitting volvo windscreens for this very reason since before 2017. Another point, maybe the non volvo screens are optically different for what ever reason... The calibration is done with a special spirit level gauge in the car after the new screen is fitted.
