Aftermarket radio
I have a 2005 and it has no audio inputs grrr. 6 cd is getting me by but I’m just after some opinions and or options.
Option 1 mr 12v. I only need a connection so this seems sensible Option 2 the sat nav replacement screen. Quite like this idea but the cheap one is too goofy to my eyes. Option 3 standard aftermarket headunit this would be great but seems really expensive to get the loom and faceplate then I still need a headunit. Any input would be great. I think I’m leaning towards option 1. |

A Bluetooth FM transmitter is by far the cheapest and easiest method. You can get a decent quality one for under £20 and this will give you Bluetooth streaming, hands free calls and also USB charging too. (some even have the option to play from USB / SD cards)
If you entertain the idea of aftermarket there's only 1 sensible option and that is called the Legend audio system. It's by no means cheap, but it's fully plug and play and it really is the dogs b*llocks. Look for the group on Facebook and see for yourself. Me personally, I can't justify a £5/600 spend on an aftermarket set up, as cool as it is. So I make do with my FM transmitter and have been happy with its functionality for the last few years. |

Hadn’t even considered fm transmitter as assumed sound quality was extra poor.
How is the sound on yours? |

Seen the legend and looks really very good but as you say 600 pounds is too much.

I also use fm transmitter described.
The audio is very good, as good as any blue tooth speaker if you have tried one. John l |

Any suggestions on which to go for? Smaller the better but willing to try anything.
