Where is that bonnet lever?
Have just bought a 2007 V50 D5 SE, got home and found I don't know how to get the bonnet open. The driver's handbook shows a diagram where the handle should be (far left under dashboard) but I just can't locate it anywhere under the dashboard on either side. All I can see is a electric plug socket on the drivers side, purpose unknown. I must just be too simple minded for modern cars -any help appreciated. (Having discovered there is no spare wheel, no explanation would come as a surprise!)

Bonnets
Behind that "electrical plug" is the bonnet release in mine. Spot of light required to actually see it!

Thanks! I never would have located it. Owners handbook couldn't be more misleading. Now at last I can admire the nice boxed in engine and just hope I never have to go near it!

Hi
just thought I'd let you know the connection you mentioned (just in front of the bonnet leaver) is where volvo connect your car to their computer Azibux1 |
