Default NO Boost 2.0D

Hi All,

My Euro3 2.0D had this issue at the weekend, looking for advise please!

Once warm, as I accelerate I heard no turbo spool nor dump release, and have no power.
There are no fault lights or warnings.
Full throttle resulted in little progress, as you would expect.
Car drove and sounded fine and strong, other than the obvious lack of turbo.
If i stopped the car and started it again, I had boost. which seems strange.

Around the end of June I cleaned up the throttle body for the first time using a guide much like this

Ive been looking around and found threads saying to clean up the throttle body again and that will help resolve the issue?

I am going to try that again, but am worried that it might not be the fix, however if it does, Id like to delete the EGR valve, its not clear for the Euro3 but can I just unplug and blank it. Or do I need to have it removed in the ECU?

Regarding blanking your egr valve on a euro 3, just blank it and unplug the light grey connector and should be fine.

Thanks DTR

Ive cleaned up the inlet manifold today and it seems to be running better now.

Does the EGR not need a return signal with to the ECU?

And when blanking it, which end do you blank? I am tempted to completely remove it, but not sure what the ramifications of doing this would be.

Some pictures of the intake system

Cleaned the Throttle body/MAF and stripped the EGR piping (some of it).

Some Gunk on the end of the brush after putting it into the intake manifold

Particles from the EGR system getting into the intake.

EGR Coal in my EGR valve

After cleaning car seems better now, we shall see if this resolves my turbo pressure issues.

Blank it at the egr where the grey connector you unplug is and that's it. I done this 2 yrs ago and no probs! Looking at the crap you are cleaning from yours, it can only do the car good so hope it sorts your problems out too

Have your 2 x TCV's checked out (Turbo control valves).
