Hi all,
Apart from the colour, is the mythical C70 aerial down switch the same as the aerial down switch from other models? If I get one of the black switches from an earlier Volvo does it have the same connections on the back as the proper C70 switch? I was going to just buy a cheap push switch as that will do the job, but I do quite fancy fitting a proper Volvo switch if possible. I can get a black one for an early 90's 900 series and the wiring harness add on for the C70 is still available from Volvo so just wondering if the two are compatible? Thanks in advance, Mike

Hello,
Yes, that is the setup I have, works fine. Bought the black coloured switch last year as you will be aware the grey is discontinued. Great idea, had to buy a new mast last year and after all the work involved to fit it, I ain't letting it raise and lower as it pleases. Cheers Should say, if you are lucky you might find and S90 breaking, some of them have the switch, start going to earlier models and it just won't look right, not sure on the late 960 however. That's great, thanks. Does the black switch look out of place or do you not really notice?

Hello,
Photo as promised. Not sure if you have a lighter colour dash, but I convinced myself as technically the button is 'extra equipment' the colour was acceptable ![]() Cheers, PM me if you need any help with this. |

There's 2 on ebay if you don't mind the black ones...

The wire harness - I got this from Rufe at FRF Swansea. £17 all in. Surely the price can't have rocketed too much - hopefully. Fingers crossed for you! Quote:
