I looked up my 1989 Volvo 245 CI 2000cc on their web site as a matter of interest
Could not believe there was a green box with a tick in it. I take it that I am exempt the charge!! BriaaanH |

That can't be right. Don't get me wrong, great if it's true. Frankly even if it coughs pure poision, it stands greener than the melting-down and re-manufacture of the 3-4 cars 'Average Joe' scrapped, whilst yours trundled on...
On that point alone, in 'Guardian reader cred', I say you win hands-down. Sadly, that won't be the logic.

Yes you are correct my car is vleaner than 90% of cars in London yet I am charged. The whole scheme is for raising tax and supporting car manufacturers who want to sell new hydrids etc. I am in the procees of complaining to my MP and the Mayos office

LPG is barely considered. And CNG, the greenest of the fosssil-fuels, doesn't get a mention. Excuse my cynicism, but agreed. It's about tax and lobbying for the sale of new cars.

Are the Ulez rules still the same?
I assume there's no relaxation to allow lpg conversions to be exempt? |

Which allows taxation, which makes us buy new cars, which sets up a bureaucracy to run it, which 'sounds' green?
The clue might be in the words "Follow the money."
