Indeed Gary .... BAY was of course mine , I got of Ian Hutchinson who no longer partakes on this forum . He spent and absolute fortune on the car , as im sure many of the old timers can remember . The IPD suspension allone cost an obscene amount of money , and Ian bought it online and had it shipped from the US . As the seller states though , they have all been replaced by standard GLT springs . Here are some links as to when I owned it .... yes it was a minty mint GLT . Would be tempted to see how it looks today .

OK....... The asking price is now £950 firm BUT includes an extra pair of 15" Virgo wheels, shod with 195 65 15 Viking Sport winter tyres, almost unused, each with over 7mm of tread.
It seems that despite the helpful links posted by members here, this car's heading in the direction of being broken for spares which is a shame as it's very good. I have yet to receive one enquiry which I find amazing. Last edited by nick.ct; Feb 25th, 2012 at 16:46. |

What a real shame if it gets broke for parts.
Just wanted to say Hi to Ian nice to see you back. You have had some beutiful cars and all down to you being a bit of a perfectionist. Regards Brian. How peculiare you come back just when your old car is up for sale? Last time you were active was may 2010. Just remembered the time I nearly bought your mint condition 740GL estate.Still kicking myself even now . Just so much attention to detail as with all your cars. Thank you kind sir
Ive been driving a VW Polo since selling the 740 as I had to cover 100+ miles daily intill recently and I needed something more economical. Ive now returned to my old job which is a mere 30 miles round trip so can consider something more to my taste. My saw my brother in law this morning who drove over in the V40 hes bought via ebay not long ago. An outstanding car for £700. The only fault I could find was a slight crease just above the offside wheelarch - hardly noticeable. This got me thinking so I have a quick look at Autotrader and Ebay this evening and thought that I would log on here to look at the sales section. Imagine my suprise when the first thing that popped up was the post about BAY! Cheers Ian |
