Default not the car on the contract

While cleaning up I was reading the sticker in the drivers doorway. I thought I had a 2011 XC90 with 200bhp as on the contract Nov.2010. Now 2000miles later I found out it is the 185bhp. Called the garage who told me I was told it was a 185 stock car. Stock yes but 185 no as I was very keen to get the 200bhp as on the contract otherwise the sales negotiation would have been different.
Has anyone got any tips or experience with this? Any help much appreciated.

Thanks,
Wally

Do you hv a written contract stating it will be a 200bhp model? If so I wd think you hv reasonable grounds for some come back with dealer ie replacement for correct model or suitable compensation to persuade you to keep it.

the most simple way around is to get the official volvo polestar 205 bhp upgrade paid for by someone else and get the paperwork altered , although is the car actualy a 2011 model or a 2010 ? thats more important to sort out .

Except for the 200bhp what is the difference between 2010 and 2011 models?

The contract does clearly state 200bhp.

Default resolved.

We have resolved our contract problem with the Volvo garage. It all went very amicable. We pay £300 for the mileage we have done and get the same speck 2011 car and profit of the £300 service deal for 3 years.
A Thanks to everyone wo replied.

Wally.
