Default Performance Volvo?

Hi,

Would the S80 be considered as a performance Volvo?

I suppose it depends on the criteria people judge as "performance".If it's down to handling and quick turn in speed, agility etc then probabally No.
If it's down to BHP then the V8 petrol has a lot of ponies then maybe? But I'm guessing it doesn't handle like a 2 seater sports car, having not driven one(S 80) I can't really comment with any authority.
Maybe, but certainly not a "Sports Car",but then neither is a V70R for example.Thats not to say they aren't fun to drive though.

I would say it's more of a luxury cruiser than a performance car.

The really rare V8 have some power to them, but still not what I think you mean by performance, not like an M5/AMG63/RS6. More like a M540i/500/S6 sort of 'fast barge' style.

I'm all for the fast barges, especially if you can get 5 bikes in the boot whilst causing mischief

Depends on engine variation. V8 and T6 options are both quick machines
