Exclamation Petrol & Diesel Tuning Chips

Evening all,

Thought I'd pop you a message. Next week my Ebay shop is going live and I will indeed be selling diesel and petrol tuning modules/chips which increase performance but more importantly save on fuel.

You can expect around 30% more BHP, 35% more torque and a 15% saving on fuel.

Do let me know if you are interested, just having my web designer finish off the last few bits and pieces with regards to the Ebay listing then we should be good to go.

I can provide them for petrol and diesel engined cars vehicles - Just pop me a pm with your make/model and engine of car and I'll come back to you with the right chip.

Thanks,

James

Good luck with your shop.

I did have one on my 2003 S60 D5 but didn't think much of it so I sold it again

but.......

I then discovered I had a split intercooler and the car was down on power but once fixed came back to life so I like to try another one.

What cost are we talking please?

Sorry but I've asked this in the generic for sale section as well.

Oooo, just what I've been waiting for but before I take the plunge can I ask a few questions:

i) have you cleared your status as a trader now on the forum?

ii) A gain of 30% on the EUIII D5 would take it to 217bhp and 460Nm (from stock 163 and 340 figures). Funnily enough I've just had my remapped D5 dyno'd at 195bhp and 450Nm. Do you have a dyno plot to share please to show the gains?

iii) Can you explain how the "chip" interfaces with the cars control systems, particularly the engine management routines in case of issues? You must know, being the seller of such an item and having the technical background, that simply injecting more fuel without looking at other parameters such as boost, injection timing, etc might lead to issues such as increased exhaust gas temperatures, overfuelling and soot generation, etc. If there is an issue with the engine the built in routines will put the car into limp mode to protect itself until diagnosis can be undertaken.

I've been doing a bit of research into diesels and increasing the performance. Unfortunately, info on the D5 engine inparticular is a bit thin on the ground.

If I can get to 220bhp I'd be a happy chappy.

For the moment I will conform to the forum rules:

http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/rules.html
Quote:
5.Private messages are to be private and privy to the recipients and the sender only and not to be published outside the Private Messaging system.

6.Traders who seek to use this forum to advertise their business or products must request permission to do this by emailing Forum Admin and once agreed, post those offers only in the Traders forum. You are however free to reply to any user's post where you can supply the products or services sought. Commercial operators should be prepared to answer genuine technical questions about how their products operate and be prepared to be challenged about their products. The users that do this are not out to cause harm to you or your products; our aim is simply to provide an independent information source and we want to get as much helpful, factual and balanced information as possible to enable people to make an informed choice. We don't expect you to give away commercially sensitive information (as this is a public forum), but this is rarely necessary to answer queries anyway. If we feel you are making commercial posts as a trader and have not contacted Forum Admin we reserve the right to move you into the "Traders" group, remove any posts you have made and suspend your ability to post on the forum until permission to post as a trader has been given.

7.Complaints or comments about businesses must not be rude or contain accusations or unsubstantiated allegations. The business in question will be given the right to reply so consider that before you post up. If a reasoned debate about consumer issues follows then we will allow it, but if the thread degenerates into accusations or insulting posts are made then we will remove or lock it as appropriate. Do not use this forum as a platform to dredge up old issues that have previously been discussed and locked.
The bold highlight is sufficient at the moment I'm afraid to say.

Hi

I have a T4 and wonder how much a chip would cost. i would like better economy in preference to performance, the latter of which is exhilarating.

Thanks

Exclamation

got a CR2 tuning chip box on my Renault laguna (diesel), there's no doubting it improves the drive & adds power / economy....but that's on the common rail engines

putting these chips on a petrol car .... must work differently??

id like to think chucking one onto my T5 would take me to nearly 300bhp & be very cheap while doing it, but in reality there's probably no cheap way around remapping a petrol car
