Maximum rev's available
Just a little advise please, what is the magic number regarding RPM I can expect from my 123gt. The car is, as far as I'm aware, factory standard. It's not something that I am likely to explore, just curious.

WoW!!! that is a fair bit higher than I imagined, I will have a little exploration next time I'm out. Doubtful I will extend the old girl beyond 4500 rpm though.

I expect cs will have gone to different or double valvesprings as part of a build which will go past 6kRPMs...typically in stock engines, the Valves will float as springs run out of the ability to keep up with such a speed...its a self-limiting situation...I wouldn't spin a stock engine over 5.5k, but 4,5k it will do all day! Thanks Ron, that's much more inline with my expectations, I like to run my lovely old cars over the years with a sympathetic right foot. But I was curious just how revvy the engine can be.

remember it will only be producing about 80 hp or less if you do not go over 4500 rpm ...
