I am certainly no expert though (not even clever enough to be classed as amateur!) so let me know if I am wrong. I have a 98 T5 and am in the same boat, looking for a code reader to check and reset some warning lights. |

Both the '98 and the 2000 T5's are OBDII compliant.
The 2000 has an ME7 system and the '98 Motronic. Note: OBDII is for engine diagnostics only. |
