Hi all,
The 12V socket in the armrest isn't working but the one in the rear is. According to the manual they come off the same fuse (#22 in the glovebox, 15A). Before I go butchering the connector and potentially damaging the surrounding trim, has anybody else had this issue? The car is under warranty, however if it's a loose connection on the back I'm happy to fix it myself. I'm just hoping it's not an entire console out job . . .

Yes - for me it was a fuse - I dropped a coin in there and there was a spark. That fuse number rings a bell, I think it cost me £2 if I remember.

Can't remember the exact situation with the fuses, but the front 12V socket stopped working for me, because I dropped some sort of detritus in it.
The socket in the back passenger compartment, I believe was still working, because I have a recollection of powering my electronics from there. It was a while ago, and there's a possibility it was from the USB in the centre armrest. I fixed it with a new fuse. Even if my memory is inaccurate, before you go "butchering" anything, I would try a new fuse, as a cheap and easy fix, although the fuse box position isn't great and I found the cover a little tricky. |

Why risk invalidating the warranty?
