  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Default S70R headlights

Ok the car is brilliant still love it but OMG the headlights are quite frankly bloody awful.So what have you done, what can you do about it, what are the options ?

Agree the candle power lights are not upto Volvo's normal standard ! .... This was my solution ...

projector beam headlamps with indicators and Hid 6000k kit, lights now really good.

Hi. try the Halfords Extreme Brilliance bulbs - I use them and have found a big improvement: http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/s...egoryId_205263

They're currently two for the price of one.

Also check the reflectors in the lights themselves as they tend to dull with age.

If it's the usual problem of reflector pitting then I always feel buying "better" bulbs is a waste of money..in the end you have to bite the bullet and replace the unit...projector style/Hids etc are very good I'm sure...but cost a fortune.
I'll be replacing mine next year and I will simply go for the direct/OEM type replacement...and even that will cost me a small fortune.!
You are looking at around £100-120 EACH to replace from the likes of ECP/PFV
