Default Interior Trim Volvo C70 .........£ too much!!!

Hmm

Just bought a 2001 volvo c70 which I love.

I'm not sure about the interior wood trim though? Might need to get a pair of slippers and a pipe to feel at home with it!!

Received a quote from volvo for interior black wood trim replacement £480!!! wow... Does anyone know where I can get either aluminium or black wood interior replacement? (glovebox, centre console, handbrake console and centre rear console

Thanks

Ricardo

you might find someone who'd prefer the wood (maybe)

or perhaps try a scrapyard/breakers - however bad a car has been crashed the interior trim should be ok

I think some slippers and a pipe might be easier and cheaper - or you could get the car seriously tweaked for that money and no-one would be able to see the interior trim as you howled past.

You could remove the panels and pay a visit to a french polisher who could blacken them for you, or you could spray them yourself, but it might look a bit DIY! Pity to waste them though, someone would probably like to have them.

A guy in the States painted his and, from the photographs, the finish was excellent. Stripping out the centre console and handbrake console ones is a fairly big job though.

Ricardo,

Fine place to try is Charles Trent in Poole, who break a lot of very late model cars. The facia is all the same in your car as the S70 old shape V70...doors are different.

Hi guy

Be patient and keep a beady eye on Ebay.

Got my aluminium trim for £80 and it was like new.

Changing the trim is not too bad, I managed to change it whilst it was raining ! all inside the car. Got a bit steamy mind you ! lol.

Chris

Default Vinyl damage...HELP!

Hi...need some help guys.
Fitted a 4ft wide trellis, in the back of my C70 with the roof down...when i got home, the trellis had damaged/dented/ruffled up the vinyl, on either side of the rear comp. It is the part that is about 3 inches below the window, if you can follow me!
Any suggestions on how or who can repair this, or can i buy a 2nd hand trim bit, for either side, from somewhere????
Appreciate you help or advise.
Martin
