I now seriously think about ordering an XC90, but there is one thing where I can't find any meaningful info about, the ashtray!
I would like to know what the exact spot it where it is placed. I don't smoke anymore, but I use the ashtray in my car as a small dustbin.
But if I would lose a bin holder, I would doubt.

There is no designated ashtray in the car, the centre console section can easily be used for your small dustbin

I found an ashtray in the accessories list, but without any picture, so I don't know where it fits in:

There is indeed enough space in the center console, but no individual covers.
The ashtray can be removed for easy cleaning.

On my MK1 XC90'S the ashtray slotted into one of the cup holders behind the gearshift, it maybe the same in the MK2. It was a removable item, I never used it so took it out and left it in the tool storage area.

I just found this (parts 25 to 29), indicating that the ashtray may fit in the space under the small lid in front of the gear stick.
But that seems a rather strange place, the gear stick being whrere it is.

A cupholder ashtray can be bought from anywhere. It works perfectly as a bin.
