Just had the gearbox rebuilt at mackies transmission in Glasgow in December last year
Infotainment unit works intermittently. Works for days or can be off for days. Needs refurbishing as tried the optical loop on all components To no joy. Vida says Icm not programmed internal fault.
DVD player in the boot is missing!
Needs a new o/s tie rod
Had new discs,shoes,pads,adjusters, and new Volvo plugs ( bought new from a member on here) ,oil and filters done at the same time at its mot 29th October
Light oak interior
Wing profile roof bars with Volvo key
More importantly has a Volvo forums sticker on the rear window
£3k not open to any offers just wanting to claw my money back from the gearbox rebuild!

Luckily we are at opposite ends of the country!

It does seem, from my experience anyway, that people are put off by the slightest niggle - or only want to pay 2p for a perfectly good car.

I provisionally sold her to a guy from birmingham. I sold it on gumtree . He made us an offer which gumtree told me.. Which I refused and stated my price. Correspondence was ok when's good to view.? And paid me a deposit to hold it till the end of the week. I arranged to meet him at Glasgow Central as its a 2.5 hr drive from Glasgow to here and thought I'd save him 5 or 6 hrs of extra travelling. Got the call 10 mins before I set off to Glasgow to meet him at the train station to be told his train ticket was booked for Monday! Not Saturday!! So he couldn't get up and cannot change his ticket so doesn't know when he can get up!

I already arranged to collect the new car an Audi...

Moral of this story never count yer chickens!

Yeah Glad I'm at the other end of the country Graeme..Great cars just downsizing to a 5 seater estate.and yeah any wee niggles ppl are put off tbh. I told the guy that was buying my car every wee scratch / issue as I'm 100% honest ..

A lot of ppl are put off by the horror gearbox stories!
