Electrics: 70: - Swapping key fobs???

Hi All,

I have just bought another V70 a 1998 model but it has no key fobs with it just a key, I have 2 spare fobs from my 1999 V70 which I'm going to break, how do I get them programmed to the new car?? Is it a dealer only job or can it be done at home??

i am sure you can not have them programed .i know
the earlier ones can be up dated

One has a throttle cable and ht leads the other does not......

Both of the cars are diesel

I had a fob from a s70R 1998 that i broke and when i bought the c70 1999 me7 it didnt have a fob,searched about and found the fob i had from the s70R was the right one for the c70 aswell.
Dealer job and cost me £60 something about software to reprogram to the car.
