Not what you want to hear, but I would imagine hens' teeth are more common as they all break.

I would scan ebay for cars which are being broken.

Kind regards

Chris

Sorry Penfoldpete, but I have to agree - they all break up in at least the top left hand corner. Chances of finding a good one that some one is willing to part with are whisker thin, I should think.

You'd be better off trying a repair if possible....

How bad is yours? What's actually the problem?

Hi guys, this is for my old 480, there is a piece of plastic missing, in the usual place.

Pete, you could try the guy in this link, though I've no idea what condition the cars are in:

There was a near immaculate one for sale on eBay recently, they're not all broken. I got a good one in 2011 from glasgowjim but that has started to go now too

Give him a message, he might be able to help

They pretty much all go in the top LH corner.
All is not lost, it's possible to make a good repair, given a modicum od modelling skills.
1. Remove any pieces of broken or loose material from the repair area.
2. using a polyester filler, such as Plastic Padding, build up the repair shaping it to the original profile. Finish with progressively finer wet and dry paper. Keep the repair site as small as is possible.
3. Using a fine artist or modellers brush, size 3 or 4, paint the repair using Humbrol Matt Black. Lay paint on finely, using several light coats.
4. Leave for a minimum of 7 days before blending in repair with a black pigmented polish, such as Back to Black.

Good Luck
Clive.
