  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Default Kick down cable replacement. How??
The kick down cable on my G reg 240 GLT estate has gone and needs replacing. Actually it went sometime ago and I´ve been driving it in semi-automatic mode...

Has anyone got any idea how easy / difficult it is to replace? Do I have to drop the gearbox down to get access (Please God, no) Any handy hints would be gratefully accepted.

Woooow - that's not good! The cable controls line pressure to the clutches and brake bands as far as I know and you can quickly burn them up not having the cable there.
