Roof boxes
I was thinking about getting one of these for my S60 and was wondering what type of fittings are needed? Do I need to get roof rails fitted and then buy cross bars, or can I just buy the cross bars?

If you look in the rain channels you will see two sets of lugs on each side, this is where the roof bars attach on the S60. The roof box then clamps to the roof bars.

Seen these but which type of roof bars/rails would be the ideal ones to fit. I'm looking at either a Mont Blanc or Thule roof box?

Some people on here have gone with the Mont Blanc roof bars and found them to catch at the tops of the doors.
When I priced them, the Volvo ones with VOC discount were cheaper than the aftermarkets, the plus side being you know they were designed to fit the car. Thule roofboxes are the same as genuine Volvo boxes so I would not expect any issue there.
