Thule towbar

I,m thinking of having a Thule detachable towbar fitted to my XC 60 I have a couple of questions first are they ok and second and most important does the fitting involve cutting any of the cars bodywork, any help would be appreciated.

Ps if it makes any difference it's a 2013 car

AFAIK Thule row bars are fine. My 2014MY has a "Volvo" bar, presumably a Brink one, and there is a bumper cut out with a really neat cover to match the silver "bumper". My guess is that a cut out will be needed but I have no specific knowledge of this for pre-2014MY cars.

My v70 has a volvo bar fitted from new, it has volvo and thule on the weight plate.
I have also fitted several thule bars over the years and found the excellent.
