Hi,
Can anyone tell me if there is a way to switch off the front light of my volvo S40 1.8 completely as i have to change my bulbs every six month. Thanks Olivier |

RE: Front lights
To stop the headlights coming on all the time you need to take out the light switch and cut one of the wires on it.
I did it on mine but when I disconnected the side lights as well I found the crap dash design needed the panel lights on all the time as the digital readings can't be seen too easily in a lot of light conditions with them off. Mine now has sidelights only on all the time and the normal lightswitch turns on headlights when required. If you feel confident about doing it I will have a look at the diagram again and let you know. What year and spec is it ? |

RE: Front lights
On the more modern S/V40s (post 2000) there is a procedure in the handbook for reprogramming the lights.

RE: Front lights
My car is a 1997 Volvo S40 1.8 CD, if you could mail me the diagram that would be great.
Thanks Olivier |
