Default third brake light

Can anyone recommend a glue that will be successful at sticking an LED brake-light to the back windscreen? It's made of hard plastic (the felt liner came off)

I've used several with no success; a mastic-type one that didn't set and the light slowly fell off; a specialist glass superglue that said in tiny writing "not for windscreens", and bog-standard superglue that lasted 2 days and then it fell off when I went over a bump.

I know that the correct way is to fashion a bracket that comes up under the vinyl under the rear window and holds it properly, but until I'm able to do this I want a good temporary measure.

I was so pleased to get it wired in, but it's useless as it stands (or rather doesn't). Thanks a lot. Tom

If it has suitable flat areas then use rear-view mirror sticky pads never had a problem with those on other cars but it is important that the glass is clean, free from grease and dry. Use meths to clean it then don't touch it with your fingers and dry it and warm slightly with a hair dryer or similar.
