Default whitening black plastics

Have noticed on my newly purhcased -08 xc70 the black side protectors are going a bit white. Could be old owner put polish on it or something. Anyone else noticed this? A solution anyone ?

Duragloss polish/wax remover has never failed for me in that regard.

C4 will keep it black for two years or so.

Only thing I have to say please please please follow the instructions, safety and precautions when using C4. It is not the nicest of products for humans and DO NOT sniff it, keep the area if doing it in a garage with some decent ventilation.

Also, follow the instructions to the letter it is a mare to get off if done incorrectly.

Rather than spend out on expensive blackening stuff etc..

Just buy some kiwi shoe polish and some shoe brushes, fantastic for bringing up the bump strips etc!!

I await that slipping on the paint and introducing defects with a brush, additionally C4 lasts an absolute age for one application.
