480 ES headlight up for grabs
I should be collecting a headlight for this model tomorrow lunchtime. Don't know much about it, year etc. It is a donation from a free-share site which I will gladly pass on to anyone who wants/needs it. Collection will be free otherwise it will be what-ever the P&P charge is, nothing extra.
Hopefully I can tell you more about it tomorrow evening.

Hi, got it today. It's a greeny blue colour and the guy thinks it is from an 'L' reg, would that be right? It's the full headlight and all the framework with a wee strut connected. Not had a chance for a 'proper' look but it all seems fine. You're welcome to it and I'll get it packed up and sent if you PM me your address. Not too sure of what side it is. I was planning to work it out from the part number but never had time to get it. I'll check tomorrow. Is there an easier way of telling what side it is from ?

Look at the headlamp cover the broadest side goes to the inside of the car so if the broad side is to the right it is a passenger side , to the left is driver side (RHD UK)
The popups are the same across all years and models of 480. the motor which powers them is not sided so can fit any side. As for your popup dieing well its an easy check. Will be putting a full how to on the club 480 website in the next few days. |

Thanks for the info. It reminded me about the numbers I have taken from the glass itself, couldn't see a number on the framework. No motor attached, only attachment is the wee gas strut.
Numbers from glass are....001-123781, 7RO1 17009 and 02 17119. Not sure if these mean anything and going by your explanation it seems to be a passenger side unit. Glasgowjim, mention this on the club480 website also if you want, same conditions. free for collection. pay only for P&P. nothing more.
