245 D6 diesel, UK sale
Not mine, saw it while browsing.
A very rare car in Britain, I really hope someone on here buys it as a project. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Volvo-245-...item417500863b John |

I'm pretty sure that won't be a D24 (although possible)....probably one of the Nissan conversions that were popular years ago. Would be interesting to know more about it.
cheers James

Coming up on the dvla site as first registered 26-11-1985.year of manufacture 1981.
Currently unlicensed and last tax was due 27-2-1993. Colour Beige. Heavy oil 2000cc. Also did a check for area first registered but no match for it.Probably doesn't show up for some foreign imports. Not to bad looking considering how long it's been idle. Regards Brian. |

It's LHD - an import as Brian says - and it has what looks to be the correct Volvo D6 badge on the tailgate. John |

More likely to be a D24 being LHD imo than a Nissan conversion... nice car, would be good if it could be resurrected with a turbo charged version from a 700/900

Ive a 1982 245 needing lots of exterior parts. I don't have chome window trims on cargo windows, I need some new scrapers, I need a replacement rear light. Is it worth hauling back to to Portmouth though??

I didn't look in enough detail to spot that it was LHD...which added to Brian's research re: reg date does certainly add up to it being a factory car.
The only mystery left is the 2000cc reference. They did 240s in some markets with a 2.0 5-pot called the D20 (literally a D24 with a cylinder knocked off, VW code is CN), with a whopping 68bhp. If it is a 5-pot, that makes the made-up badging (which I think is from a chopped-up DL and 260) all the more "interesting" cheers James

Personally, I'm not a fan of diesels (smoke worries me, and I like revs) but I know many people like them and this with a tweaked D24 turbo would be a very nice, interesting machine. John |

The DVLA check states 2.0L unless it has been changed and not recorded.
