Problem is with the lower control arm front bushes. Fit some Powerflex ones and it will transform the handling.

Do you think that might be why mine feels like I'm driving on jelly? Feels like it's all over the place (and pulls to the left a little too)

This question gets asked so often that the answer really needs to be made sticky. The lower control arm consists of of front and rear bushes. The rear ones are OK but the front bush is a large rubber bush that is oil filled! Hence huge amounts of play.

Read through this thread, it make take you a while, but should answer all your questions..

Not due a service for a while, but might give PWC a ring to see how much it will be to have these fitted. Ta.

LOL..you stalking me or something?
hmm junc6 M42 at 06:00 yeap thats me....well my vehicle is a standard S60 D5 163bhp
2401cc diesel..no mods at all not my thing really.that golf on monday was a genuine a**hole, would have smacked right into me if i didnt move away quick enough i had anticipated his move as soon as i joined up with the M6 he was driving rather foolishly.the cop you speak of was most likely to have been asleep i have seen them do that before,i was a mobile patrol officer last year just as igot onto the A452 i got a call to attend a incident in Stoke only way i could get onto the M6 north was by driving through Erdington via A38.but i noticed the emergency services ingress/eggress point to the m6 at the A452 and i took it while going through it i nearly had a heart attack when i saw a police Volvo parked up but as idrove past it i saw clearly both officers in the car were fast asleep i just put my foot down and made my way to stoke.the quote i got for the bushes was from HLM Volvo tuning in Bromsgrove but i got another garage in Winson Green called Darochi's he can do the bushes for £35 a side while i supply the part which seems cheap enough,he also has most diagnostic goodies for european cars..
