244 2.3 GLT For Sale

Where to start....

With great regret, I may have to sell my 244 as circumstances have slightly changed. Basically, I do the odd track day and tow a trailer & MR2 turbo along with spare wheels / tyres, tools and jerry cans of fuel. So far I've had access to a works van with a towbar to do all of this no problems at all, BUT, at the end of the year, the works van is being traded in for a smaller & newer van that couldnt pull the skin off custard! Let alone drag 1600kgs behind it!

The situation I'm in now means I do one of two things:

A) fit a towbar to the 244 and use it as a work horse for the odd track day. But the car is nice & clean and wouldnt want to use it as a workhorse. I think it's too nice a car to do that to it! Plus I'd struggle for space to fit everything in the boot!

B) Sell / swap the 244 for a 245 / 855 / V70 / 940. Basically, something big enough and strong enough to haul 1600kgs and a boot full of wheels, tools and fuel.

So that's the back story, and here's the ad...

Folder full of receipts / invoices / services for work done on the car since new
Mechanically it's spot on
Body work is good but not concourse. Can be made into show standard quite easily if you're into that sort of thing.

Like I said, I dont want to sell, but I dont want to see her get tatty as I think these cars will be future classics and good ones are hard to come by even now! I could buy another car specifically to tow, but the lack of parking space means im stuck with option A or B

Im open to reasonable offers. Or even a swap with cash either way for the right car.

I did a speed test once and the car topped 105 miles/hour

Hello all! After my V40 sold its now turn for the 240, so my GLT is back up for sale as I've decided to go for a 4x4 to tow my track car!
There are a few updates and new pics to the advert;

Millage is now 128k
It has had a set of lowering springs fitted and the original ones are included
New nightbreaker headlamp bulbs
It passed its MOT yesterday so comes with a full years mot
I am the 4th owner (First two were father and son)

All I'm asking for this beauty is £1,300 ono

I've had a couple of inquiries but nothing solid. I don't really want to put it on Ebay as I'd rather she went to a enthusiast, but shrinking space and lack of finding a big enough storage space means she might have to go Will be open to offers

Whats it like in the boot and is it good underneath and how is the sill on the drivers side front looks funny in the photos ...is that just the pics?

Will you take 900 quid for her I would love to own her depending on the body condition....
