Any one use Countrywide
Hello.
I have my car booked in to be converted to run LPG in April (wish it was sooner) There is a Countrywide LPG station almost on my door step and was wondering if anyone has first hand experience of Countrywide??? Countrywide offer a pay monthly scheme for buying LPG. You get a special key and a PIN code which allows you to use there largely unmanned and normally tucked away on industrial site filling stations. They are quoting half the price of petrol and diesel on there web site but I was wondering if anyone can tell me what Countrywide are roughly selling it for at this moment per litre? Any information on your experience of Countrywide would be very useful. Cheers Steve

Hi Steve,
don't use them myself but another customer not far from you does use them. He tell's me they are about 5p a litre less than on the pump. If there is one near you it is well worth while going with them. |

I have had a gas account with Countrywide stores now for about 10 years. They are good as gold and easy to deal with, have never had any problems!! I used them for my chauffeur business initially running two Lpg powered Jags. Now use the account privately for my Lpg Range Rover Classic. I think the current rate is 56p per litre + Vat. Certainly cheaper than most forecourts. My mate is just opening an account with them having bought an Lpg S40 last week!! You have a special key and your own pin number to access the pumps. You can also enter the mileage if you require which is handy especially for business use. Quite a few of the sites are open 24 hour aswell. My account runs from start to end of each month. You receive an itemised bill by about 5th of the next month and payment goes out by direct debit on approx 15th of month. Hope that helps!!

How wide is the Country?
From what I understand the only problem with Countrywide is that they aren't well, countrywide!
I think that they can be found at locations across Wales, the north and west Midlands, into parts of the Cotswolds, Wiltshire, Somerset and down towards Exeter, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, so if that's your locality then you're in luck! Nearest site to me is about 80 miles away, so not really an option! Cheers Jack Last edited by capt jack; Feb 16th, 2011 at 21:56. |
