Intermittant V50 remote failure
Hi all, has anyone experienced a failure with the remote on a V50 2.0D SE '05.
Occasionally I'm unable to unlock the car and I have to use the metal key from the romote holder to enter the car, and then use it to reset the alarm via the ignition. It's a right pain, I've changed the remote battery but has made no difference. Any ideas? |

As always in these cases ... Is the second remote working ok? This will determine if the problem is with the car or the remote . Also does it happen in one location or all locations ?

The second remote does not work either. It has only failed when on the driveway but I've had the car 6months and never had the problem before. Regards

This kind of thing has happened before when a neighbour has just had a new wireless internet router fitted close by .. Try it somewhere else even out on the road could well make a difference ...

OK, as said before, it is an intermittant fault, so I'll see if there is any pattern etc. Thanks for your help.

could well be but they are only on for a fraction of a second whilst the bell is rung , whilst a Wireless router is transmitting all the time . Same if you have a new mobile telephone mast across the road .
