Default C30 Headlight question

This morning I had a suicidal wood pigeon hit my C30, I had a look at the damage as soon I was able to stop and the damm thing has managed to crack the plastic on my diver side headlight.

Anyone know if I can just have the plastic cover replaced or will I have to fork out for a whole new headlight unit?

Depending on how much this is going to coast will depend on weather I go through insurance or not.

Only available as a single sealed unit. They are available from dealers or from Euro Car Parts non-OEM:

New shape halogen - £189
New shape adaptive xenon - £357

The older shape ones don't seem to be available non-OEM.

Do the ones from Euro car parts look the same as the OEM ones just without Volvo part number?

For the S40 they look exactly the same and I'd be surprised if it were any different for the C30.

Mine are cracked due to a batch of lenses that are known to fail due to heat, Some Volvo dealerships honoured this and replaced but some didn't and my local dealer wasn't having any of it... I'm going to try another local dealership and see if I can get anywhere with them? If not then some non-OEM ones will do. Chances are they are all made on the same assembly line just some have Volvo stickers and some haven't?

Wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. Can't imagine there being a massive market making the R&D worth their while for another company to produce them.
