Default Cruise control

Hi all,

Dont use my cruise control very often but coming home on my Micky mouse spare wheel decided to.

Nothing happened when i pressed the button tried to look in the hand book for the fuse but its not listed ,also when i looked for the fuse box which the handbook said is in the passenger compartment someone has stolen it lol.

I asume some models must have them elsewhere.

Just had it gas converted so maybe something blew during that.

Can anyone help with these please.

Many thanks Steve

Open your drivers door and you will see a panel on the dash that covers the fuse box. Do you have the space saver on the front or rear ?

Hi

Do not want to state the obvious - but are you just pressing the Cruise Control button - as this will not work - you have to "set" the speed you want to travel at by pressing the + and - buttons after you have pressed the Cruise button.

Took me a couple of days to figure out - as I couldn't be asked to read the instructions first off!

Can you put the space saver on the front; I thought the calliper fouled the wheel?

If "CRUISE" doesn't illuminate then there is a problem with the system.

Most likely cause is the brake or clutch switch which are there to de-activate the cruise control when either pedal is depressed. There's one on the accelerator as well but this seldom fails.

It will also not function if there's a problem with the ABS.

The codes can be pulled to determine what component is at fault.

Shouldn't matter if you have the Mickey mouse spare on or not.
