1990 740 won't start
I have a 1990 740 automatic sedan with a b230f engine, a week ago on my way to work the car stopped dead in the driveway and all the lights on the dash came up. After some research I decided to jump the fuel relay to see if the fuel pump would work indicating a faulty fuel relay. After jumping it I bought a new fuel relay and just put it in but the car will still not start. If I jump the fuel relay and just have the pump running for a bit and then try and start the car it will fire for a second and then shut off straight away within 2 seconds. That is the only way I can get the car to fire.
Does anyone have any suggestions of what I could try next to try and find the issue or what the issue may be, any help appreciated.
