Default question about volvo 460 gle

Hello!
I have a volvo 460 gle and i've tried to find the series number for the car body. My mechanic needs it, and i can/t find it. Do you know where it is placed?I found the ID for the engine, but it is not enough. And i also have a problem: a hose from the cooling system is thorn and i loose water there. What may be the causes for this problem?
Thanks!!!

if you open the bonnet and bend down and look at the beam across the top where the bonnet latches it is on the left side mounted verticaly near the headlamp facing you . a black and silver plate

The chassis no. is also stamped on the bulk head just above the brake servo, not sure about your water leak , can only suggest changing any pipe that looks ify.
You should get all the information of your chassis no.

If i change the pipe, and the cause seems to be high pressure, isn't it possible that the pipe breaks again? or maybe another pipe? Is there any pump that may not work well?

Expansion tank top has a pressure relief in it so would think you would be getting water out of there if there was a problem.
Start by checkig thermostat, get car up to temp , and while still running see if water is returning to expanion bottle from the small pipe.
400 series like there water changed regular , I do mine every other year.
