Default Emissions warning light

Hello
The emissions warning light came on in the instrument display of my 2018 XC60 D4 yesterday. Called the local Volvo garage and they said I would need to call back on Monday when servicing is open.

Complete novice but I took a look under the bonnet to see if it was anything obvious. Only thing I spotted is that one of the small hoses (numbered 1-4) going into the front of the engine block was a bit worn where it has rubbed on the foam cover/sound proofing. It is hose number 3 that is worn. See pic.

This may be totally unrelated but does anyone know what this hose is for?

Any other suggestions? I’ve read about others having sooted sensors and my wife had this problem on her previous generation xc60. Was kind of hoping this would been sorted by now when I made the decision to go for the newer model 😕

Thanks

That’s just one of the vacuum hoses.. I don’t think that’s your culprit..
