Default Noob to the S40

Hi all,

I am a 'Volvo Virgin' and have recently purchased a '98 S40 with c80k on the clock as my runaround car. I am extremely pleased with the car except for one thing... the clicking noise caused by the recirculation servo problem. I have read through the forums and can see it has been mentioned many times before and that there is a solution posted, but I was wondering if anyone has (or could provide) a guide with photos, so I know what I am looking for? I would be happy with the 'set to fresh air, and disable it' solution.

...or alternatively, I don't suppose there are any very nice helpful S40 owners in or around the Worthing, West Sussex area who may have already fixed the problem and may be available to give me some pointers? or maybe even assist me is there????

kind regards
Neil

Thanks for the reply.

I did mention in my initial post that I have already found the article to fix this problem, but was wondering if there is any photo's of the offending servo, so I know what I am looking for?

Hi doodlebug, whats the chance of that hey, I got the same prob on one of my S40s ...

http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showpo...68&postcount=1

Using the search is easier said than done, there are about a 1000 variations to get a result, and then it ain't the one you want.

Could you post a link to the solution you found please ? I'm still stuck
