Auto dimming dash lights question
Hi all,
Does anyone know if it's possible to override the auto dimming function on a V70? On these dull days it dims a lot which makes the sat nav hard to see. I've looked through the manual but I can't find any info. Thanks Phil |

Didn't know about such function. Maybe there is a light-sensor that can be covered with a piece of tape?

There's a light sensor (or something) on the climate panel, does this control it?

I believe this is the sensor for the radio remote, but I might be wrong

If you cover a light sensor with a piece of tape it will go even dimmer! Why? Because it thinks its dark! The lights are lit brightest when its bright outside.
Didn't even know there was a remote for the HU! |

The sensor for the dash lighting is just below the one shown in the pic, in the top of the climate panel. Not sure what you could do to stop it working.
My thoughts are if you could illuminate the sensor, either from outside or from inside the climate unit? |

Check that the sensor is clean and dust free. Anything blocking light, can cause the lights to dim.
