56' V70 D5 185. Fires up for a second and then cuts off.
So as the title says the car starts for a second and then cuts off. It first happened after a 20 minute drive and all I can say is I noticed a slight hiccup/misfire? Occasionally accelerating up hill.
Fault codes are: ECM 2320 ECM 2350 So far I have changed: injectors, Injector plugs Fuel metering valve on the hp pump Fuel filter I'm honestly starting to pull my hair out as we do really need the car as our other car only had 5 seats so getting all 6 of us around is impossible. And when I'm at work it greatly reduces the mobility of my partner getting the kids out. Any suggestions would be great thank you. |

Its a resistance problem in one (or more) injector cables injector 5 is the most probable one because of the sharp bend in the cable....from the loom.
You have to examine the cables more further into the loom for internal damage.....also on the ecm side there can be problems in the current/voltage providing to the cable from the ecm module. (this is the last and most expensive place to trouble shoot this... start with the plugs and cables in the loom) The ecm code will indentify the exact injector wich has the high signal You can with the edc 16 pinout table as a guide wich pin to take do resistance measuring of each injector cable to detect if it is greatly damaged.....but often the resistance measuring will show up fine if the damage is small .....because the resistance problem only shows up when there is high amperage flowing during needed operation. I had the same problem but only with longer cranking/starting in a very specific temperature range ....hotter and colder started fine ...(temperature influences resistance). I could manipulate the starting with a coldpack on the loom....or to pull the coolant temp sensor plug (ecm thinks coolant is hot or cold? because of missing signal and it would start fine Last edited by 5cilinder; Mar 19th, 2022 at 02:59. |

I've tried new wires which was a pain and still nothing. No amount of unplugging things changes it either. It was remapped and it looks as though the ECU wasn't resealed properly, I thinking maybe just a little bit of moisture has got it and fried something. I can see any corrosion.
