  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Default EPB brakes problem

Put the v70 d5 in a local garage with epb software for discs and pads, rang me to say he cannot push or wind pistons in rear caliper's back in, any one any experience of this problem?

Depends on what the problem is.
Can't push in can be lots of things so can you ask for more details?

You don't need software to change the pads and hopefully the garage knows this.

Not sure he has tried very hard looking at what he has done, just discovered the youtube tutorial on changing pads without OBD by removing motors will have a look myself tomorrow ..

If he does not want to disconnect the motors just unplugging them and connecting a seperate battery to the motors with the conditions reversedwill wind the caliper back so that the pads can be levered back. If he's not wound back the callipers he will never move the pads with a leaver.
