Not sure. Possibly the pre wiring for the genuine Volvo towing electrics loom?

Hi, also, depending on year, sub woofer or row 3 Aircon.

It will most certainly be for an option that has not been fitted.

On earlier models, the electronic controls for the rear mounted dvd were in this area, but I see no connector like this as the rear mounted dvd was a UK specific 'bolt on' as opposed to genuine Volvo option.

That's 5 pin, not 10
And only 3 are fitted with wires

It's the connector for the alarm system tilt sensor, which is likely not fitted to your car

Power, ground, and lin-bus are the 3 wires.

As you will find, Warren and Zoe, Swiss may (or may not) be a Brit, but like Swiss watches, he is precise...

And his info is 100% - always.

Cheers

Dave

To be precise, I'm not a brit... but I have worked in electronics and data for many decades and I recognise connectors and wires... and can read wiring diagrams...
