V70 R AWD Phase 3 Propshaft repair
Hi All,
Does anyone know where I can get my propshaft repaired, the middle bearing has play in it. I spoke to a Propshaft specialist today that said this type of Propshaft was sealed around the bearing and very difficult to replace. Many thanks in advance. |

Hi there,
I have just been doing the same. But I am up in Scotland. I hunted around and spoke to several places. Took it into one who said it cannot be done due to the way its made. then I went to these guys: https://www.propshaftservices.com/services/repairs/ Really helpful and basically, say they can repair most things. In the end, I went for a new shaft as end CV joints, centre bearing and UJ needed replacing on mine - was going to cost more than the new one. The new shaft was actually wrong so they are stripping the centre bearing off and replacing with a correct one. They do a lot of work with stuff just couriered in and out - so if you are really struggling to find someone local, maybe give them a call? They at least know what it looks like and such as have had mine in and had a thorough look at it! |
