Default What is this?? By the radiator??

Sorry I’ve searched eBay and the forum and can’t find anything that matches this, thought it was an oil cooler but that looks smaller and squarer and a transmission cooler looks like a long thin radiator. Hopefully I’ve added the picture right but it’s right at the front under the main radiator. Hi

Also whilst here I’ve got a long time weeping Intercooler that’s clogged up the radiator so looking to replace IC and the rad is there anything else in the sandwiched rad pack that will need replacing. Owned the car 10 year and she done 275k nearly 100k under our ownership so they had a good innings so happy to replace. Just want to make sure I got all the parts before starting. Thanks all.

I think this is the cooler on the power assisted steering fluid return. See pic below green arrow, item 8. So long as car is not losing pas fluid I would leave alone.

The rad 'sandwich' has the a/c condenser at the front with a rad behind. To the right of the rad is a cooler for the transmission, you will see the pipes low down on the right behind rad (looking from front).

I have replaced both on my xc90, the condenser was leaking and the rad leaking into transmission fluid where seal had failed.

In my case I changed with nissens unit with no issues.

Awesome thank you, was racking my brains to think what it could be and never thought about power steering cooler. I’ll look out for a ac condenser as well as might as well replace the lot while I’m in there. Thank you
